From the website of the Buddhist One Earth Sangha The founding premise of One Earth Sangha is that the Buddhist tradition offers significant, largely untapped resources that can support us in bringing wisdom, compassion, courage, creativity, flexibility, and a steady resolve to our inter-related ecological and social crises. The 2500-year old tradition that still actively contributes to and in many ways presaged modern psychology has similar potential to inform response to the climate crisis. Our mission is to support the vital context of Sangha, or spiritual community to cultivate together an appropriate response that addresses this collective suffering. There are many interesting links at the site including Ecodharma: Buddhist Teachings for the Ecological Crisis We are interested in what you think about the initiatives motivated by Buddhist Faith and how they inform inter-faith collaboration for environmental justice.
