Pope Francis urges the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics and all people of good will to take urgent action against the injustice of climate change and the ecological crisis, to protect the poor and future generations. His encyclical letter Laudato Si’ is a compelling call to care for our common home, Earth, building on a long history of Catholic teaching. We are building a vibrant movement to respond to Pope Francis’ call.
Divestment: Sign the commitment to divest from fossil fuels and join the movement of Catholic institutions living out our Catholic values. The next joint divestment announcement will be on the occasion of the Laudato Si’ Week (16 – 24 May), when Catholic communities everywhere celebrate the fifth anniversary of Laudato Si’.

Green your parish: Developed in cooperation with GCCM’s partners around the globe, the guide is directed at Catholic parishes globally to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) by addressing actions in relation to parish operations, the congregation, and the broader community.
Prayer: “The ecological crisis is also a summons to profound interior conversion . . . [what] all need is an “ecological conversion”, whereby the effects of their encounter with Jesus Christ become evident in their relationship with the world around them.
